dunno... jus had to write this line down! it's been playin in my head for days on end now!!
A happy two months come to a close, i reminisce! Trials, work (yeah yeah yeah - i did sum work for a change!), joys, experiences, words, smile, playful banter, childish pranks, home cooked food, some extremely unforgettable moments!!
It all started on the morning of April 10, 2006 with me being late for my first day of work! For once i'd say lucky me!! 'coz being late meant i got to skip the induction program!!
My first steps into Patni's most famed office!! cliched yes, but i swear my knees were knocking!!! Wiated for the high n mighty HR guy to meet me n take me thru the various processes so that i could then come everyday n work without bugging him!! He redirected me eventually to my "mentor!" a.k.a "God!". Turns out i had a friendly God!! He believed in not giving me work n suprise surprise! I believed in sumhow getting work!!! (close ur mouths! u guys look pathetic all open mouthed n staring into the comp!!)
Friday happened - first friday in this crazy city where i was still tryin to find my steps! Dint have an office bus pass yet so wuz rouging it out with the citybuses!!! Well, jus as luck would have it (there's a reason i sometimes call myself JINXED) the buses decided to go on strike! Bina stipend ke gareeb bachhi mumbai ki sadko pe akeli!! Hee hee... The drama queen at her bestest!! Well twasn't so bad - got to office sum how by jus spending 30 bucks!! (it pays to be stingy sumtimes). Lady luck shined on the poor shrivelled soul and the child got her bus pass on monday!!
Friday in office - ekdum cool! bole to mastam!! No kaam dhaam - party mood! All sats r off and Fri is "Oye balle oye! party sharty!!" So effectively i "worked" jus 4 days a week!!
Met a few characters at Patni! The biggest of them all being this guy we called "Uncle!" for specifically the reson that he looked like one the father of 5 kids, 2 toddlers, 1 teen, 1 in college n the last one married!! Uski baaton se to "God help" kinda situation!Then there were a lot of nice ppl like Prach (seemed like she wuz the only sane one n thank god she wasn't the very ladki kind of ladki! :-D), Neeraj (his takiya ka alarm wuz "ye sab kya ho raha hai!" kaafi koshish karta tha ladki ko line maarne ki par har baar koi uski zindagi me love trianglr hi bana deta tha), arjun (another uncle! but sweet! the tc kinds, but used to baanto faltu gyan!!), puru (the choclate boy who cud charm anyone!) n bala (iim-k breed! class decency n a vast admiration for life!)! Hey guys, been amazing getn to knw ya! all the otrhers too... :-)
Dicovered the most amazing Bakery u cud come across!! (dedicated to Mini) u can sit there alll day n grin away to glory through choclataty goo!!!
Well, she was close to walking inbeauty by the rain - she was at worli sea face with the sea spray in her hair!
my last night in the city, shit i dint wana leave! it's like this one city that doesn't leave you... sach hi hai, 'u can take a man oit of mumbai but you can't take mumbai out of a man!!'
