devil or angel??!!

Well it so happens that I met my guardian angel and lil devil today!! The guardian angel, as you would have her, was dressed in a white flowing gown and had gleaming eyes... (umm.. I actually thought the devil should look like that!) and her halo was a lil higher up than I expected it would be (thank God it had one!!) :-D

The li'l devil was wearin this pair of red pajamas n a red t-shirt! It sat gloomily on my shoulder and was kinda peaceful!!! (see what I mean - the other one's supposed to be bored and peaceful!!)

Well, it so happens that instead of Ms Pajama Party sitting on the left shoulder was on the right one and Ms I-believe-I-can-fly was taking full advantage of it's wings and flying on my left side!! (duh!). And as if that wasn't enough, the winged lil thing (I am really not sure that there wasn't a role reversal here somewhere, so I can't get myself to call it guardian angel just yet!) took the poor lil devil by the tail, swung it around and put it where it belongs - on the left shoulder and then continued to smile mysteriously and fly to the right now.

That's about how much I saw of them, except for now, sitting at opposite corners of my screen (and now I'm wondering which is my left and which is my right) and staring into what I'm writing with the lil red thing sighing and the white one well.. u guessed it! Sitting there and kicking playfully at the screen not realizing that even miniscule damage can burn a hole in my pocket!!

Devil or Angel?? U tell me....!!!!

There comes this moment in time when you realize that you've been Daddy's lil princess for way too long! It's time for you to graduate and start makin him feel like a king! Start makin him feel that he brought you up right...

He's still your superman and Mr. know-it-all; he always will be. But you make it easier by polishing his magic lamp for him once every lil while.. carrying ur own bags at the station, doing some chores for him (without his having to say it - 'coz by now you jus know!), makin him stay put n changin the flat tyre for him (n the next day he gets em all changed to those nitrogen filled things so that his li'l princess doesn't get her hands dirty!), knowing that he can't come n check on you at night now coz he's had a long day (so you go check on him, switch off the TV while he's fast asleep, and replace the empty bottle of water by his bedside!)....

Dad... I know there are times when you've had to say 'I don't know!' or even 'Princess I can't afford it now!' or 'I'm too old for that now!' and I have seen the tears in your eyes everytime I leave home to come to hostel... but dad (i know i've rarely said it) I love you... n you will always be my superman!! You're the bestest daddy on planet earth!! (((hugs)))!

I'm Blessed!

Just when u think that its going to be a quiet birthday with you sitting down to study (after all xams staring at u in the face!!), the world decides you need a touch of it's luv!!

My sweetheart of a roomie dragged along a friend against all his wishes to get me a cake (n trust me it was the yummiest cake!!). I knew about the cake part.. what i didn't know was that they even went alphabet hunting to write 'Happy Birthday Aneesha' On my wall!! For want of A's.. they turned U's upside down and slashed I's right thru to make an A!! (i'm still wondering what would have happened had my name been full of out of stock B's!!) :-D

A very dear friend and my roomie had been conspiring all day and well, when I walked the plank, I fell into a sea of happiness and laughter and good wishes!! 2 totaly scrumpciouly yummy cakes, lotsa hugs, choclate cream war paint, rudolph's cherry on my nose and few bday bumps later I figured I am happy to be 23!!!

Daddy called up his li'l girl sharp at 12 (surprise surpise 'coz wen i'm home, I'm the one who wakes him up from slumber for any bday anniversary etc!) Isn't he the best?! Calls followed from mum and a few dear friends! (no, none from the man of my dreams yet!!)

I was continuously smilin!!! U can say my face was frozen into a grin at least for the day!!!

My buks and me had become estranged in the same room and on the same bed! I would not look at them and sat there silently without allowing even a single page to flutter! (and today i'm writin my blog!! mera kal k exam me kya hoga!!!??)

A very dear friend came in the evening and treated me to some wonderful food and cold coffee followed by a game of chess! (no i don't know how to play it, I was jus foolin around and troublin him! :-D) Armed with a wonderful bunch of flowers I walked back into the hostel to some envious eyes! (yeah.. I'm being a bad girl!!)

Luv ya all soooooooooo............. much! Special thanx to nishu, shekhu and yogi for the chorus happy bday and the music of the year award definitly goes to Dada!! Yup there's Uncle who was the first to wish me and motu who refused to wish me!! I hope I havn't skipped any names here! (If I have doesn't mean u aren't there in my heart! ur always there... my lil world needs u hamesha!)
