Ever had a prof play the song, 'we don't need no education' on a blaupunkt speaker from within a 4x4 Mahindra Scorpio rite in ur face with the lyrics scrollin over on a Toshiba Toughbook??!!
Flashback: We had the last lecture of services marketing today! (i'd rather - tonite!!). After taking us through the theory on 3 chapters from the book he shows us stuff he did to the Bullet Enfield showroom and how he marketed it!! How he created a state of the showroom, how the sound of the bullet was captured on an ecg like thing, how 'blow jobs' are given to a bullet (largely described how wen u blow air onto the weiser of a bullet nothn happens to you coz it creates a bubble around you and ur safe!! :-D), how a bullet and bull horns are the same and what he did to put all of it in the place where he displayed the bullets, how and why he used the petrol tanks hung from a mesh to show the colors of the bike (yup - the bullet comes in various colors and one of it is even ornage!!), how the various sounds of a bullet can be heard by using a mechanical stetho, how the smallest of detail was given attention to and how a dream was converted into a state of the art reality - how services are marketed - hands on!! No words whatsoever are sufficent to describe what we saw!! If the documantation could do that to us, imagine what the experience can do to you!!!
After that he asks us 1 question which constitutes our end term exam - 'What is service Marketing???' Write what you want.... that's it!!
The grand finale: The man takes us to the Institute entrance, makes us bend to our right as far as we can and then makes us do it again, only a lil further this time! If the body with all it's limitations can do it then just think what the mind can do??
He then plays the song, 'we don't need no education' on a blaupunkt speaker from within a 4x4 Mahindra Scorpio rite in ur face with the lyrics scrollin over on a Toshiba Toughbook. His parting words - You don't need a teacher to teach you Services Marketing! It was nice knowing ya! Stay in touch!! And he floats away into the night (that we all will remember) in his 4x4!!!
