A smile...!

It's amazing how people you've never known before and will never know after can touch your lives! It's been happening to her way too much off late.... and it's left her with a strange yet warm feeling!

While walking down the road in search of the State bank of Mysore to get the stamp paper for her rent agreement she happened to ask a passer-by for directions! It so happens that another somebody was asking for directions to the same place... she being the chatterbox that she is, they got talking and he sent left her with words that still resonate, 'it's so easy to meet someone sometimes...!' (the unsaid was clear to... and yet so difficult to know someone even though it'll be a lifetime together!) His name was Javed!

Then she came across Paul the other day... after a lot of standing around and waiting and getting refused by an n number of autos during peak traffic hours to go home from office, she finally found a rick! Paul just walked by and asked can he come in too... he was going to the same place! I nodded consent and then again we got talking! He's a localite and tried to empathize with my situation... :) And he paid the whole auto fare inspite of me protesting loudly and vehemently enough! He even paid for beyond his get off point so that I wouldn't have to pay up later! How gentlemanly is that! (And its sooooo... rare these days!)

Then she met a rick guy who while dropping her off to someplace had a flat tyre... he wasn't sure of the route so he asked her how far... she gave him the exacts and he said he'll still drop her! En route they got talking and it turns out he had a cycle shop which was suffering losses so he closed it down and bought a rick from his own savings! And a rickshaw costs a good 70 grands people! He leaves home at 7 and reaches back at 12! (and we complain about a 9 hour work day!) He hates leaving so early in the morning... no not 'coz he wants to sleep in, but coz he loves his wife so so much that he doesn't feel like going away from her for a single moment! It was heart warming and she forgot herself in his story for at least sometime! :)

A series of myriad events like these makes you believe in humanity!

On that note... what makes you smile? :)

(I still need remiders on my to-do!)
