She wonders if you've wondered about the image of the soulflower on the blog...
Well... what does it means to her? It's an incomplete bud... it's surrounded by protrusions (thorns maybe?!) It's her soul... always searching... always feeling... sometimes ensconced... always free... sometimes silent... othertimes chaotic... sometimes dreaming... always observing... sometimes smiling... sometimes still..!
And this soulflower has become a part of her... it's a tattoo now! Loads o thanks to 'Russell', the person who did the tattoo! Russell's studio has an aura all it's own. located in a silent sleepy part of Bengaluru called Kamanahalli, the studio is a artfully placed a few steps from a coconut tree in the centre of the road! With a Tibetan shawl as a curtain and a wall with an angel fairy rising from the flames... it mesmerized you the minute you walk in! The walls are his 'guestbook' with scrawls from all happy customers! You don't have a choice.. you will be happy once you go to him!! A tattoo is yes not painless.. but definitely (agreeing with a wall scrawl here) less painful than getting eyebrow threaded! (n you have to be a girl or totally kinky to know that pain!) :D
A lighting engineer for the concerts like Whitney Houston's.. Russell turned to tattooing jus coz he was bored with life! Got himself a motor, and other tools and built himself a tattoo drill! Lo and behold! Has 15 tattoos of which several have been a self tattoo... and 1 is in progress... the description of the in progress.. 'a dragon... another dragon below it.. and castle in ruins... flames.. darkness...the entire landscape!' He knows his stuff so well that there's jus one word to describe him: "Brilliant!" (Thanks Russ! :) )

Well.. the thereafter found her helping the Barwala move and setup house! It's a lovely place on the rooftop and for theirs to use for barbecues, beer and Floyd nights! :) She figures she was too much help coz by the end of it the market at the new place and the landlord all thought she was his 'wife!' (a voice inside her went meep.. double meep... meep meep and more meep!!!) :D

Wow Ani, the tatoo looks awesome.. :D I've been wanting a shooting star on my ankle for ages now but don't have the courage to go ahead with it!! :(

:))) thanks Sam! get it done... it's not bad at all... n im serious when i say eyebrows hurt more than a tattoo!!! since its on the leg ur just not supposed to walk around as much as I did... :D was sitting with leg on 4 cushions all of yesterday! but it's fine now! :) and the meep is neither gud nor bad.. its more like..'vrazy1 mad! crazy crazyyy!' (Bar is not my knoght in shining armour! The darl(k)ing of my life goes by the name of Jeet.) :)
Ahh..am inspired!! Spoke to my mom about it and she's a total no no on it.. ;) I think its time a acted like that rebellious child they've long since forgotten!!:D
And hey, tell Jeet he's damn lucky but I guess he knows that already.. :)
sam: :D Dint tell dad and gave mom less than 24 hrs notice on it! Mom calls up actin all funny but then realizes that im getting it dun!! they havent even seen the pics yet and I have been temporarirly disowned! though ya.. mom calls to ask howz the pain and then keeps hankering me to eat antibiotics and there's also a tetanus that u'd best get done! (i already had mine given that i fall so much! :D) So pointers effectively: 1. tetatnus. 2. soframycin in the night to help the tattoo dry up. 3. vaseline on it while havin a bath n a thin layer of vaseline thruout the day to keep the sweat away... 10 days of this and ur perfect! :)
Eeksss..that sounds tough!! I mean you gottta go through ALL of that for that piece of art on yourself?? :( It didn't appear that way on Miami Ink, a totto show they had on Travel & Living but then they had their TRPs to consider.. Guess reality is harsher than fiction!! :P
Am in process of finding somebody who does a good job in coloured tattos and you'd be the first to know whwn I get it done.. :D

The guy I got it done from is awwwwsum with colored tattoos also! Showed me one he'd done where the girl had got her whole arm done like a sleeve.. full color! completely psychedelic! :) so if u cant find anyone.. u come straight down to bengaluru! :))
You know, am very, very seriously thinking over it, spoke to Mom too and I was shocked on seeing her soo cool with it!! :D
