It slithered creepily on the floor over my floaters and behind my writing table... it was creepy and black and kinda fat!!
Scene 1: A screaming Ani, "MINI MINI MINI!!!!" Huddled on the bed... refusing to get off it.. jus huddled and shivering!!!
Stage right, enter 1st Warrior: Mini
Weapon: Umberella
Mini's fragile frame pulled away the study table and the reptile ran down and hid in the innards of the table...
War Zone: Stage left, enter Smriti
(she's also scared of lizards... but trust me i'm worse... u'll see...)
Moment of Bravado happens to Smriti n she says lets push the table out of the room... we empty it and begin to push... An exasperated Mini stops us in our tracks and uses 'the weapon' to drive 'the thing' out from under the table.. Lo and behold it slithers accross to Mini's side of the room... Hunting behind fallen papers when suddenly the scardiest person in the room finds it staring at her in the face from behind a completely different table and jumps from above one table (yes she has managed to venture around the room...) and back on the bed..(there's barely place after emptying the whole table onto it). The fan with it's menacing blades is switched off lest it hurts the Gueirella warriors jumping over the furniture!!
War Zone: Stage Left; enter Pavan. 'Hey cool!! lizard or wat??!!!'
Ani n Smriti: 'Cooooooooooolllllll????????!!!!!!!!!!'
War Zone: 9/11 (thanks to Pavan for the analogy!)
The darned thing slithers accross the sides of the most overflowing cupboard in the whole hostel (Mine!!) and goes inside!!! Hands rush to open the cupboard. Pavan in action.. Hitting with umberella all over clothes and shelves... Volcano erupts and the contents of the cupboard start getting poured out into the room... Mini n Pavan still trying to locate it... Pavan comes accross "cool sticks" (my precious drum sticks) in the cupboard (cb from now on!!) and merrily starts trying to play while conveniently fogetting the 2 scardey cats standing in the corner waiting for the terror attack to come to an end!! (Ani has almost strangled Smriti by then by pullin extremly hard at her shirt!!) Eureka!! Lizard found!! In the deep crevices of the drawer area of godrej cb101!!
War Zone: enter left; Nitika!!
Brave soldier... Weapon: Newspaper!! (and eventually cellotape!!)
Scoops lizard out.. the thing runs hither and thither and out of the cupboard.. the warriors close the cb quickly!! The thing enters the land of no return - the loft!! Hurried measures to seal the cb.. alll sides.. insides... sealed lest it come in from the loft!! (selaed with tape!! brown tape!! tape finito!! hands shaking, shivering voices.. working at top speed to seal the cb). all other sides sealed to prevent another 9/11!! Cb closed!!!!!!
(As is inevitable, this War Zone also witnessed blood curdling, hostel shaking screams by... yup...u got it!!)
War Zone: Night fall
After numerous efforts the thing is still there in the loft!! The door's open and the room is being set right!! Eventually a tired Ani (whose life has just been saved!) retires to bed and posts this blog!! She hopes the night will make 'the thing' go away... and Peace shall reign again within the borders of 306!!

Poor lizzie!...may its soul rest in piece (or pieces..as the case may be) after daring to venture into the land of semi-civilized, paranoid, crude monstrouos beings. Just trying to figure out the lesser mortal's epitaph....Here lies a poor little tortured soul, whose "fattening" life was put to a premature end by demented and psychotic specimens of the human race, who were ten times its size.....Arrey muttallee hum per to zulm kartee hi hai tu...kam say bechare chipkalee ko to baksh de!!!

Of course "You didn't kill the thing literally"...poor thing must have been petrified (or at least a nervous breakdown) by your mere sight...yeah if u call that "Alive"...fine :)) lol
