Jus decided to pack our bags and run away to Mt Abu. Who all?? 3 girls!! Manvika, Neetika and yours truly!! :-))
Early early in the morn... Train ticket status - 100 something waiting! :-D Fir bhi jaana to hamein train se hi tha.. budgeting ka savaal tha!! Well... after alarm clocks going haywire and Ms Khanna thinking they'r not even going they did manage to make it to the station not just on time but with time enough to buy a General ka ticket (:-D don't kill me!) and have breakfast!! (yup at the stinky counters of the station!) [Now they dint plan on tellin everyone... so technically we were all off to my place and there's this bachcha who we met downstairs at the hostel who's like baroda jaane ki kya tension.. koi bhi bus le lena! Her reaction ummhmm!! yaaaa.... :DD]
Inki gundagardi shuru ho chuki by taking full control of the charging plug for a good half hour! :-D The best reaction was, 'Ya ok.. go ahead u guys! Tum teeno ko to koi kya hi karega!!' :-D (Some of those who knew they were doin this were really really worried and yup.. my most regular commenter happened to be one of them!!) :D
Well.. that was that! Train aayi, ye train me ghuse aur bakaitii se baith gaye! (Nopes not in gen.. in sleeper! :-D) So then this weird person who calls himself an 'Escort' comes in and checks our tickest and insists on fining us coz we had a gen ticket n stuff! Then hamari Bondi (female bond for all you government ki tubelights!) goes and pataos the TT and after a lot of please please mixed with some serious hadkaana from the Bondi the TT and the so called 'Escort' jus take the extra amount (to convert the ticket from gen to sl) and are on their way!! (loads o giggles and a very victorious triumph!)
Well.. after having gone through that kich-kich (which in a way was fun!) they were wiser and got in line to buy tickets for the return journey.. (line hamse hi shuru hui.. :DDD). 254, 255 and 256! You guessed it... Wait listed on those numbers!! (aage kya hua filhaal k liye suspense... read on!)
Then began the swirl through the hills... It was b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!! Swirling and twirling through the hills with langurs comin from e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e! The scenery - 'Take my breath away' variety! All shades of green and brown at once in one quick glimpse and then it suddenly changes to rocks and landslid-like view and then back again!!
Three hungry females!! They were ready to devour Abu right then and right there!! :-D Well.... they found themselves food before they found themsleves a roof! After satifying their stomachs they launced on a trek for a roof on their heads in under 600 bucks! Mahaan hain ye!! They started with a Hertiage hotel on of course the insistence of their Bondi!! :-DD And quickly ran out of there to Mamta Mandir!! (Waise to Palace tha uska naam... par itni seedhiyan thi ki hum log sirf aur sirf 'Jai Mata Di' hi bol paaye!) Then the Bondi decided they can trek some more and about 5 hotels and loads of slopes later we pack ourselves into 'Ranjana Palace'; a place with an awwsum king sized bed, a very clean loo with hot water and a nice ambience and bang on budget!!!!!! :)))))))
That was that.. Next stop - Nakki lake! They say a guy dug out a lot of dirt with his fingernails to make the lake and hence the name! (Naakhun - Nakki!) The stop was of course interspersed with choc softies and some earring shopping! (Amaazing chaandi ki earrings!) A paddle boat where Princess Neetika sits in the center and doesn't have to paddle and her 'Daasis' take her around the sights of the lake with beautiful rockas and birds everywhere!! ;-)
Ab sunset bhi to dekhna tha.. finished the boat ride and ran..literally to the sunset point!! So many slopes again! Mann me sirf ek hi baat, 'chhota kadam, neeche dekh aur zor se bolo Jai Mata Di!' :-D The hordes of people that we saw there made us realize that it wasn't off-season but instead 'mating season!' The amount of couples all around was mind boggling!! :-D All hugging, kissing and serious PDA everywhere!!! And the three of em singing, 'tera mera pyar amar' behind each one of em!! (uncontrollably giggling!) A beautiful sunset and lods of photographs later we scour the market... And yes.. 'we shop!' :-D (I so love the look on your faces!!!) then of course hunger strikes and food gets packed for want of some Beer as well! (Jannat!)
Thak k choor, bhooke and totally glowing and smiling, the three Miss-keteers attacked at the booze and the food (awwsum Pizza for the bondi and tandoori chicken for us) Yummmmyyyy!!! :)) Nopes... drunk was not her!! (Arre serious!) After all, Nity's enagenment date had come out and she was the one squeamish in the belly!! ;-)
Lots of 'meeps' here... loads of girl talk that shall not be revealed in this space! ;-)
They slept like logs and awoke next morning and like good children revelled in the warm water and then went to the Gurudwara! It's always a nice feelin!! :)) Then the hungry shernis attacked breakfast! (bahut hi problem thi - kha peeke paise dekhenge aur fir tote udd jayenge bill dekh k!!) :D :P Breakfast is incomplete without coffee rite?! So CCD it was! A Mocha latte and a vegan shake later the three women had reached their point of Jannat and were blissfully elevated! Absolute lazybum Nirvana had been attained! So they grudgingly trekked back, got their stuff and found a jeep to take em to the station! 4 gujju guys were company (what after Miss Khanna's wish of 3 handsome guys - we ended up with 4 'duh!Bachaaaaoooo!' kinda gujju guys who insisted on goin yak yak yakkity yak continuously!!) The ride downhill was spinning! Totally!!! And the yaks were no help!! The coffee had converted to some deathly burps and the 'Shauchalaya' at the station was mercifullly clean and came to all our rescues!! :-D The gujju guys meanwhile were trying to chat us up.. especially one in a red shirt, a pittance for a frence beard and black framed chashma with a lisp in his pronunciation!!! Turns out all four of em were married!! Thank God for small mercies!!! They got completly pukish in between and Mr Red shirt asks em, 'Are You Vomit??' (He was tryin to be sweet and helpful... but wen ur pukish ans someone asks you 'Are you Vomit' then HOW DO YOU REACT???!!!!)
Well... Ms Khanna met a friend from engineering who had just got married and was honeymooning with his wife!! Try as she may, his name evaded her!! (It feels so nice to know that i'm not the only person on this planet who this happens to!!) :-D Well what now u'd think?? Langoor attack!! There were sitting in a line over their heads and were barely saved from them dropping their daily ablutions on our heads!! (yes yes saved!! gosh!!)
Ok time to break the suspense... the 254, 255 and 256 waiting tickets happend to be mentioned on the chart as confirmed in S10 on seats 44, 57 and 58!! How totally amazing is that!!! As a very dear friend once said, 'miracles Happen!' :)) U bet they do!!
An aunty in blue, a dehatin in green, her daughter in orange, the latest issue of cosmo, a thumbs up and cameras working to the hilt were our company! We made it back to Ahmd in once piece and totally enjoyed out! Thrilled! Joyous! peaceful! Happy! r-e-j-u-v-e-n-a-t-e-d!!!!!!!!!!!!
The road to the Insti gave our stomachs a severe churn!! She had never seen so many potholes!!! It was like a lifetime of them!!! :D Fir kya tha.. aate saath wardy ke darshan and peshi! (Permission to li nahi thi... to bahaane maare... hanse muskuraye.. roni shakal banayi aur khisak liye vahan se!!) :-D Yeah baby..the Bondi is definitly amazing!!
No, it doesn't end here!! hunger struck the miss-keteers decide to give a grand finale to their trip and gorge on a sizzler each and the most amazing chocolate pastries!!! (Yeah yeah - 1 each!!) :)))) She calls em both fairy Godma and guardian angel and both were duly gifted their magic wands of two flowers each!! :)) The smiles on their faces said it all to her!! >--------:)---------<
And there.... They're back!! (And she HAS lost weight so all of you better agree with that one!!!)
